Watch Parts

I bought an old, non-functional stopwatch the other day at a flea market for $4.00. I want the parts to make molds and stamps for steampunk themed polymer pieces. Here’s what I gleaned from it:

Taking a watch apart is a lot of work, especially if you don’t have a tiny little screwdriver for all the tiny little screws. I ended up using the end of an exacto-knife. Not especially safe, but I did escape unscathed. I didn’t include all the little screws in the picture, but there were at least 20. I’m looking forward to playing with my new toys.

I love collecting watches, broken jewelry, and all kinds of odds and ends for making polymer clay molds
